Hi there!
You know sometimes when you teach kids, some of them pick up stuff really fast using picture cards or reading it to them over and over again. However, there are others that no matter how much you repeat to them using the same method, they would rather play!
Well, the first group are more visual and auditory inclined and the next group are those who learn better with tactile and kinaesthetic play!
I’d been thinking how to infuse kinaesthetic activities to teach my preschoolers the alphabets and than I had an idea 💡 !
I’d create a detective story (I love adventures! And I’m sure my energetic kids love them too) and in this story the kids would have to climb rocks, handstand to cross bridges with hungry crocodiles 🐊, follow paw prints 🐾 on a mission to save a puppy! At the same time (of course) learn the ABCs!
My number 1 (K-1) is so into the following the map and does it independently. My number 2 (pre-K) was guided through the adventure. Even the dad is involved in this!
And this is the first of my detective series (for pre-schoolers), and you can purchase them at my etsy shop here.
Just print, laminate (for durability), cut, stick with tape and you are ready for an adventure!
Enjoy!
